East Lancashire Contractor, Developer and Investor, Barnfield Construction Limited, have officially started work on Phase 2 of their 30,000sq ft Business Park on Blakewater Road in Blackburn.

Phase 1 was recently completed for United Utilities, which saw the construction of a purpose built 9,500 sq ft service and maintenance facility for their local fleet of maintenance vehicles.

The remaining land at the development has been split into 2 buildings which will be occupied by Hippo Motor Group, Pro Print Solutions, eBusiness UK together with a speculative unit on behalf of Taylor Weaver.

Tom Preston, Managing Director of the Hippo Motor Group commented “This is the second facility Barnfield Construction have developed for us in less than 2 years and we’re really pleased with the impressive new show room they built for us on Trident Park in Blackburn.”

The prestigious car dealership will use their new 11,000sqft unit for vehicle storage, preparation & valet purposes.

Pro Print Solutions are also expanding their business due to continued sales growth since setting up their business in 2008.

The photocopier supplier and maintenance company is currently based at Barnfield House on Accrington Rd, Blackburn but they are streamlining their operations by combining their separate offices & current storage facility into a 3,000 sq ft bespoke unit at the popular business park.

Richard Pickup, Sales Director at Pro Print Solutions commented:

“We are really excited to move into our new bespoke office and warehouse. We have vastly out grown our existing premises, which is testament to the hard work of our staff and this move will be key to facilitating the next stage in our growth strategy”

eBusiness UK who offer digital marketing services are relocating their existing warehousing facilities to be close to their head office, which will now be only a few metres away.

The ecommerce specialists have been at the forefront of their industry for 16 years and are expanding due to the rapid growth of their own online retail operations.

Their new 3,000 sq ft warehousing unit will also house some of their customer services and operations team.

Taylor Weaver have purchased their 3,000 sq ft unit to add to their investment portfolio which will be available to lease.

Tracy Clavell-Bate, Sales and Lettings Manager at Barnfield commented:

“We can’t wait to see the scheme finished. We knew when we bought the land that there was demand for good quality, new build space in Blackburn and so we’re not surprised that the units have been pre let/sold. We wish the occupiers continued success”.

The £1.9 million development will be complete in November 2015.
