Tim Webber MBE, Chairman & Managing Director of the Barnfield Group commented:
“We are delighted to report a record year in Barnfield’s 42-year history with a turnover of £74.6m for the year ended 31 December 2018, which is an increase of 17% on the prior year.
Based on our current order book, which is over 75% secure for 2020, we are confident that this growth will continue to around £80m for 2019.
The growth is attributed to a combination of repeat business from a number of existing clients who work with us on a regular basis and also developments with our strong public and private sector partnerships, including Hyndburn Borough Council, Pendle Borough Council, Burnley Borough Council, Rossendale Borough Council, Blackburn Borough Council, Craven Borough Council and Henry Boot Developments.
We are currently active across the UK on over 30 sites and over the last couple of years we have grown our cash reserves considerably, leaving us in a strong position to invest in new development opportunities in the future.”
