Travelodge – Harrogate

Barnfield won the contract at competitive tender to design and build a four storey Travelodge on Tower Street – situated less than 300ft away from the West Park Hotel

The 70 bed hotel was developed for Leeds based property Group, Gregory Properties and has been leased to Travelodge on a long term agreement.

This contract was won following on from a request by the client that Barnfield tender for the project, after having experience of working together on several other projects over the last ten years.

Barnfield’s most recent Travelodge project was the 5 storey, 69 bed Bradford Central Hotel in 2012, just north of the city’s main shopping area Forster Square.

The Harrogate scheme also includes a leisure centre on the ground and first floor for Pure Gym.

This leisure contract was carried out on extremely restricted footprint and is set to achieve the building industry accreditation BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating.
