Newtown Mill – Burnley

Barnfield Construction have begun the conversion works on the former Newtown Mill, Burnley. This joint venture project between Barnfield Developments and Burnley Council will provide UCLan with a further 35,000 sq ft of teaching space, with the aim to encourage young people and raise aspirations within the town. This is the 3rd project within On the Banks that the joint venture has worked on with UCLan. Located within a conservation area, much of the building is being retained and will be sympathetically restored to preserve its heritage. The facility will complete in December 2023 and welcome students in January 2024.
