On Friday 23rd September 2022, nearly 200 guests arrived at Turf Moor for an evening of fun and frolics for the ‘End of Summer Charity Party’ hosted by Barnfield Construction in aid of Pendleside Hospice.
Guests were welcomed to the event with a glass of prosecco and tricks performed by magician, Ian McCoy. Shortly after, guests were called for dinner in the Clearly Interior Longside Lounge which was dressed with numerous balloon displays by Exquisite Balloons. The dance floor was given a Las Vegas theme ready for a performance by Barnfield’s very own Elvis, Andrew Brown.
Special thanks were given to LBT Brick and Facades and Tarways who purchased additional seats at their tables, which allowed for some colleagues from Pendleside Hospice to join the party.
A warm up game of Heads and Tails kick started the evening’s fundraising with one lucky winner winning £150 cash. A delicious 3-course meal was served to guests whilst they enjoyed background music from singer, Andy Bannister.
After dinner, Elvis drew a winner for the Golden Bucket game who won £120 cash and very kindly donated this to Pendleside Hospice. Next was an auction to win exclusive use of Barnfield’s hospitality box for the Burnley v Swansea game on Saturday 15th October 2022. The winners were WH Good who bidded an extremely generous amount of £3,000.
Things got a little more competitive during the speed raffle. With over 50 prizes up for grabs carrying a value of over £2,300, numbers were quickly called and winners dashed to the table to grab their favourite prizes. Prizes included spa days, meal vouchers, car service vouchers, alcohol, luxury toiletries, jewellery, headphones and so much more.
The dance floor then began to fill thanks to a wonderful set from Elvis. DJ Brian Duckett then took over the night’s entertainment which resulted in a dance off taking place.
Barnfield hoped to raise £6,000 from the event but were over joyed to see a whopping £13,509.42 raised for Pendleside Hospice.
Danielle Stephenson, event organiser on behalf of Barnfield Construction said: “For me personally, the event couldn’t have gone any better. We were absolutely blown away by the generosity of everyone involved.
“Every single person who played a part in that event did so, brilliantly. The suppliers delivered, the guests came ready for a good time and the generosity from both those who attended on the night plus our contacts who helped with monetary donations and raffle prizes has been truly over whelming.”
Barnfield Construction would like to extend thanks to; Burnley Football Club for their hospitality, every single guest who not only purchased a ticket to attend the event but dug deep on the night and donated to the cause, all the event suppliers who provided amazing entertainment and décor, every business who donated raffle prizes and money donations plus their own colleagues, Andrew Brown, Jenny McAndrew, Tracy Clavell-Bate, Gemma Moore and Danielle Stephenson who worked extremely well together to pull off the event.
