Barnfield Construction and Capital Centric are delighted to announce their latest development on their mixed-use Crown Business Park in Rochdale.

The, as yet, unnamed occupier have purchased land from the Joint Venture Company, Barnfield Centric, in a £1.5m deal.

Barnfield Construction are now on site building their £3.4m 70,000 sqft high bay warehouse facility.

The building will provide offices and warehousing for the business at Crown Business Park in Rochdale.

Completion of the facility is expected to be complete in 20 weeks and an allowance of 30,000 sqft will be left to the side of the building for future expansion.

The 18 acre business park was started in 2010 and since then the developers have been building and selling offices and warehouses to various businesses.

The Joint Venture obtained planning permission in summer of this year.

Crown Business Park was one of the first developments in the North to feature super energy efficient warehouses (BREEAM Excellent) and offices.

Once complete the overall business park will have created in excess of 500 full time jobs.

In November 2010 the developers announced it had secured European Regional Development Funding for £3.2m towards the initial £9.4m construction cost.

Tracy Clavell – Bate sales and lettings manager at Barnfield who has nurtured the deal from concept commented:

“We’re delighted to welcome our new occupiers to Crown Business Park. Anyone wishing to join them would be encouraged to get in touch as there is growing interest in the remaining plots on the popular business park”

Earlier this year Barnfield Construction were named as building contractor of the year at the Insider Awards and Capital & Centric were named as property Developer of the year
