Development work for our Joint Venture Company, PEARL, with Pendle Council consisted of the renovation of various rows of terraced houses, in the Whitefield area of Nelson, formerly mill houses which are protected under the English Heritage Trust.

Renovation work consisted of new kitchens, highly efficient heating, electrics, sand blasted, re-pointed, new windows, doors, re roofed, kitchen roof re-slated, timber sliding sash frames and gutters.

All stone & slate was salvaged and reused where possible and chimney stacks were replaced.

Traditional terraced properties have been knocked from 2 into 1 to make larger homes comprising of 2 lounges, kitchen (large) dining room sitting room. The normal sized homes have a kitchen, dining room and lounge.

Barnfield Construction were commended for their speedy, thorough and effortless customer service approach and the excellent knowledge and ‘can do’ attitude of Geoff Curry, the site manager, and all of his team.
