Since then the College has grown in size, currently serving the educational needs of around 1700 full-time students and 4-5000 part-time students, depending on the time of year.

The contract was won at competitive tender and comprised the following works:

– Refurbishment of the 2 storey science block including a high tech laboratory

– Demolish & refurbish part of current student services facility and create a new cyber space area

– Form a new link between the Pendle and Whitemoor buildings

– Refurbish changing rooms in Deerstone building and form a small communal area

The project is being built to BREEAM ‘Very Good’ standard and the site has received a ‘Performance Beyond Compliance’ certificate from the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
