Farmhouse Biscuits are a family run biscuit manufacturer based in the Pendle area of Lancashire. At least four generations of the family having been making biscuits.

From small beginnings they now employ over 200 people and supply delicious biscuits to well-known brands such as Harrods and Fortnum & Mason.

Much of the site has been purpose built over that last few years to very high standards. The process of making biscuits though, hasn’t changed – they are still made in the same way using, old traditional methods and equipment.

Barnfield were approached again to expand their current 175,000 sq feet premises with a purpose build 3 storey head office and production facility.

This involved the demolition of an existing north light shed mill which enabled the extension of the existing factory/warehouse and biscuit lines.

Despite work having to stop on site due to a family of bats setting up camp inside the unfinished building and the odd owl coming in to visit Dave the site manager, all the stops were pulled out in order to have the building completed on time and within budget.

  • "We are extremely happy with the build and we couldn't wait to move in.  Dave the site manager and Jenny were an absolutely pleasure to work with, no issue was too big or too small for them to help us with."
