A Senior Estimator at Barnfield Construction has raised £1000 for charity by producing his own Elvis tribute CD.

The CD was the brainchild of Andrew Brown, an avid Elivis fan, who selflessly put his talent to good use and recorded a selection of Christmas songs onto an album named ‘Blue Christmas’.

Andrew decided he would like to split the proceeds of the CD sales equally between his two preferred charities, Pendleside Hospice and The British Heart Foundation.

Over 200 copies of the CD, recorded at the ACE Centre in Nelson, were sold in the run up to Christmas and also on iTunes.

Barbara Dunn, Community Fundraising Manager for The British Heart Foundation commented

“We’d like to thank Andrew for all his hard work in making and selling these fantastic CD’s. The BHF can only continue its life-saving and life-changing work thanks to money raised from initiatives like this. We urgently need more people like them to join the fight. Together we can make a difference but we can’t do it without you.”

Leah Mitchell, Fundraiser for Pendleside Hospice, said;

“Thank you very much to Andrew for his hard work in creating the CD and for raising such a fantastic amount for Pendleside Hospice, his efforts are truly appreciated.  The money he has raised will go directly towards caring for people with life limiting illnesses from the Burnley and Pendle area.”

The CD was sponsored by Barnfield Construction
