Town Hall Re-opens as New Business Hub

Globe Enterprises Limited are celebrating as Great Harwood’s Town Hall was officially re-opened as a new business and enterprise centre on today, after receiving regeneration funding.
The listed Victorian building, known as The Chambers, was opened by the (soon to be – 24th May 2011) new leader of Hyndburn Borough Council, Miles Parkinson, who is also a member of the Globe Enterprise Limited Board – the joint partnership between Barnfield Construction, Hyndburn Borough Council and local businessman Stuart Nevison.
Hyndburn Enterprise Trust will negotiate the lettings and have a base onsite in order to manage the building effectively. The Chambers offers a unique all inclusive deals starting from £39 per week which includes lighting, heating & rates. Packages including business advice, secretarial services and book-keeping to help their new businesses flourish are also available.The centre offers flexible rental agreements, allowing for businesses to set up or move quickly without restrictive contracts.
The re-opening follows a £500,000 restoration overseen by owners Globe Enterprises with LEGI funding provided by Regenerate Pennine Lancashire.
Dennis Mendoros, Chairman of Regenerate, said: “Globe Enterprises and Barnfield Construction have completed a fantastic refurbishment & modernisation of this Victorian building. The Chambers will provide perfect premises for 15 new businesses and their staff. The business advice on offer will provide them with the initial support they need to grow and be successful, revitalising the centre and increasing local employment opportunities in Great Harwood.”
The Chambers is holding an open day on Saturday the 21st of May where potential businesses and community groups are being invited to view the premises between 10am and 2pm.
