Hippo’s rapidly expanding business required an extension to the existing showroom and office facility and a preparation centre.
The preparation centre is located on Blackburn Council’s former tip site off Lower Philips Road. The centre is 30,345sqft over two storeys comprising 25,000sqft ground floor area with a Body Shop, Wheel Service, MOT Bay and Workshop. There is also a customer entrance, foyer, office and meeting room. The first floor is just over 5,000sqft of offices, canteen, changing area and storage mezzanine.
Externally there was a significant area to develop, with over 100,000sqft of road, car parking and service yard. Also developed was a Service Centre building at the north of the building which provides wash down and valeting, inspection areas and photographing facility.
