Paul Anderson welcomes reception class at Standroyd Court

Site manager Paul Anderson has taken a well-deserved rest this weekend after his housing site, Standroyd Court in Colne, was visited by groups of children from Park Primary School last week.

Originally 60 children from reception classes were due to visit the site which ceased construction for a short time whilst the little ones had a tour round in their hard hats and high visibility vests.

However, Paul’s tours of the show home, digger and homes being constructed went down so well with the teachers and children that other classes from the school went to visit the construction site at Standroyd Court too!

The visit was to start off the reception classes ‘houses and homes’ topic where there will be a building site as part of their role play area with lots of activities based on The Three Little Pigs stories.

Alex Roberts from Park Primary School commented “The visit gave the children invaluable first-hand experience of building houses and the really encouraged them to use questioning as well as helping develop their vocabulary.

We really appreciate everything Barnfield did and BIG thanks to Paul who went out of his way to help us.”

The 3 storey homes are now available to buy at the Standroyd Court development in Colne and the show home is open every Saturday from 10.30am to 12.30pm and every Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.
