Date: 27.02.2009
Empire Business Park in Burnley is now officially open for business after Burnley Football Club's Manager, Mr Owen Coyle, cut the red ribbon on the launch day.
The Business Park, owned and managed by Barnfield Construction Limited, comprises of 85,000 sq ft which houses 17 individual industrial units ranging from 2,000 sq ft to 25,000 sq ft.
The event was a huge success with Coyle signing copies of The Clarets Chronicles which were handed to the first 10 visitors on the day.
The units, which are situated adjacent to Sycamore Farm pub, which Barnfield completed construction of in the later part of last year and a huge business centre which is due for completion in May this year; have been sold and let at a steady pace since being completed. Three occupiers are now on site with a further unit being sold at the opening.
Mark Taylforth commented "The opening was a great success with further leads and enquiries being explored as a result of it."
On the opposite side to the Industrial Units, work is underway on phase one of a speculative development for Barnfield which will incorporate a selection of bungalows, mews and semi detached houses.
In addition to the four industrial buildings at Empire, there is also a rare design and build opportunity available on up to 50,000 sq ft of land. Barnfield also have industrial development opportunities available at Heys Lane Industrial Park in Great Harwood, Centurian Business Park in Blackburn, Hyndburn Road in Accrington and Millennium City Park in Preston.
