Local Accountants count days to big move
Date: 25.08.2010
East Lancashire based Chartered Accountants PM+M are relocating their Blackburn premises to a newly refurbished office building on Greenbank Technology Park in Whitebirk, after 38 years at their current premises.
Stephen Anderson, Managing Partner at PM+M feels the move is a natural progression for the firm.
“Looking to the future, the new site is a better reflection of where the business is heading. We have been able to tailor the space to meet our current operational requirements, as well as allow space for continuing future growth, something that was more of a challenge at Oakmount”, said Stephen.
The company has been at Oakmount, a large Victorian building on East Park Road near Corporation Park, since 1972.
“Our current site is a wonderful building and has served us very well for a long period of time, but the new premises give us a more efficient, modern and comfortable working environment.
“It gives us much better meeting facilities and the location is even more accessible for our clients.”
PM+M currently employ over 50 staff at their Blackburn office, and also have an office in Burnley.
The Greenbank Technology Park facility will hold up to 100 people, and has good transport links to Blackburn town centre and the M65.
Barnfield Construction, based in Nelson are completing the internal renovation, as well as extending the available car parking space at the new offices on Challenge Way.
“We are delighted to be working in partnership with such a prestigious, local accountancy firm. We are also thrilled that we could enable the relocation of our previous tenants into another one of our business centres in Blackburn, in order to facilitate the sale of the building to PM+M and subsequently the move into their newly refurbished high specification building.”
The refurbishment and external work should be completed in the next month, with moving day scheduled for early October.
