Construction Commences at Estuary Banks, Liverpool

Barnfield Centric, the joint venture development company between Barnfield Construction and Capital & Centric Plc, is delighted to announce that it has commenced the speculative construction of 82,000 sq ft (7,618 sq m) at the £6m Estuary Banks business park in Speke, south Liverpool.

The Barnfield Construction contract is scheduled for completion mid 2012.

The scheme received £2.54m of European Regional Development Fund money and it is anticipated that it will create in the region of 250-300 new jobs for the area.

The joint venture received planning permission for the B1, B2 and B8 development earlier this year and the five acre (2.02 hectare) site was purchased from the Northwest Regional Development Agency in summer 2011.

The twenty hybrid units on offer are suitable for flexible, sustainable office, R&D, light industrial and warehouse accommodation.

Space will be available on a variety of tenures and sizes ranging from 3,000-20,000 sq ft (278-1,858 sq m).

Estuary Banks is designed to ‘BREEAM Excellent’ standard, thus encompassing the very latest advances in technology, materials and design.

The Estuary Banks scheme is ideally located on Estuary Commerce Park, South Liverpool, just off the A561 and adjacent to Liverpool John Lennon Airport.
