Empire Strikes Back

Date: 24.06.2009

Barnfield construction are delighted to announce a 5,000 sq ft letting at their recently completed Empire Business Park, Liverpool Road, Burnley. The deal, which was a direct result of contact made at the opening ceremony attended by Owen Coyle in March, is a huge endorsement of the scheme.

The letting to an online retailer trading as Thingimijigs Ltd, follows on from a flurry of smaller deals at Empire Business Park this year, which has resulted in all of the smaller (2,000 sq ft) units being sold. Occupiers on the estate include EFS Haulage and Karcher Power Washers. Phase 1 of the scheme has only recently completed and with a number of the larger units also under offer developers Barnfield are considering moving on to phase 2.

Andrew Peak of Petty's Chartered Surveyors comments, "Recent occupier activity in the Burnley area has been very encouraging and the spate of deals already completed, shows confidence in the product Barnfield Construction has produced. With 7 units either sold or let and two under offer this means that we now only have 8 units remaining at Empire which are available from 3,000 sq ft upwards."

Jonathan Wolstencroft, Barnfield's Property Development Manager says: "We are committed to carrying out high quality developments and taking an ongoing interest in occupiers' needs. As these recent deals demonstrate our approach is undoubtedly successful".

Empire Business Park is Burnley's premier new Industrial and Warehouse development, which is located in a prime position within close proximity to both junctions 10 & 11 of the M65. The scheme offers a range of units from 3,000 - 15,000 sq ft, with excellent parking and loading facilities.
