Barnfield Construction were delighted to be the receivers of three accolades at the recent LABC, (Local Authority Building Control) Building Excellence Awards.

The first award for non-residential Best Site Agent went to Russell Currie, who has been at the £75 million turnover contractors and developers, Barnfield Construction, since 2003.

Russell commented:

“I’m overwhelmed to have received the award. There was a lot of hard work and hours put into the Sawley Hall development in the Ribble Valley, not only me but the whole team who worked on the project. It’s nice to be nominated but it’s a fantastic feeling to win it.”

The second award was presented to Together Housing for Best Social / Affordable Housing scheme award.  Graham Baxter was Site Manager on the 16 apartment development for the over 55’s in Rawtenstall and the developer was Rossendale Together Barnfield Partnership Limited.

Graham who has been with Barnfield Construction for 4 years commented:

“It was great to win the award for Best Social/ Affordable housing scheme. Having your work recognised is a real honour.”

Graham was also a finalist in the LABC Site Agent of the year category and will be attending the finalist’s award ceremony in London at the end of the year.

Barnfield have also been shortlisted in the finals, as a finalist for LABC West Yorkshire Building Excellence Awards 2017 for their Chain Street redevelopment in Bradford, under the social/affordable housing category.
